A successful candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment, result-oriented, analytical, strong attention to detail, and highly motivated to deliver excellence in their work consistently. Responsibilities: * Work with accounting team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of the close accounting process, account analysis, roll forwards, and reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts (such as but not limited to, cash, investments, prepaid and other assets, lease accounting, accruals and other liabilities, and equity) * Review journal entries and related supporting work papers. Ensure quality of work products and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements * Prepare cash flows * Review consolidation and non-controlling interest accounting * Liaise with other team members to conduct accounting research addressing accounting issues identified; provide technical accounting guidance to team members * Review and analyze invoices, agreements, POs, etc. to determine the appropriate accounting treatments * Review the general ledger account fluctuation analysis, general ledger account reconciliations, and other analyses requested by management * Coordinate with other accounting team members in identifying, researching, and documenting significant accounting matters * Manage the quarterly review, interim and year-end audit, as well as tax requirements relating to account responsibilities and associated activities. Drive closure of any internal/ external request/open items on a timely basis * Identify opportunities to reduce the close accounting cycle, enhance existing procedures * Assist the Controller and other members of the accounting team on ad hoc projects, as needed * Compliance with SOX requirements-ensure control procedures are executed and work paper documentation are SOX compliant; review and update control process flows and narratives; prepare all required data and analysis to support external audit, internal control, and SOX testing requests, among others Education, Experience & Skills Requirements: * BA/BS degree in accounting * Certified public accountant * 5+ years of combined accounting/audit experience (biotechnology industry, preferred)/public accounting (Big 4, preferred) * In-depth knowledge of US GAAP * Technical accounting experience (e.g., ASC 842, ASC810 (consolidation and non-controlling interest accounting), cash flows preparation, etc.) * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) * Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Strong work ethic including sound judgment, outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently * Ability to work with a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment * Results and goal-oriented mindset with an opportunistic eye towards process improvements * Strong ability to prioritize and organize work effectively * Must be able to collaborate and communicate (oral and written) effectively * High sense of urgency and knowledge to identify creative solutions to advanced, time-sensitive problems by balancing achievement of process objectives with practical considerations. * A high degree of organizational agility, able to handle sensitive issues with prudent discretion across all levels of the organization * Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles and challenges in a time-sensitive environment * Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm and effective under pressure What We Offer: * Patient Days, where we are fortunate enough to learn more about the lives we are looking to impact and a real exchange of ideas as to how we can improve our efforts * A culture inspired by our values: put patients first; think independently, be radically transparent; every minute counts, and let the science speak * Learning and development training to help employees be the best version of themselves * Collaborative business environment * Excellent compensation package (Base, Performance Bonus, Stock, RSU programs) * Excellent benefits package * Flexible PTO * With office locations in San Francisco, Boston, New York, and Raleigh, there are ample cross-collaboration opportunities with other BridgeBio Pharma programs * A fast-paced, data-driven, work environment with world-class R&D minds and capabilities * Work with the most productive groups of R&D operators in the industry * Partnerships with leading institutions * A platform for meaningful scientific contributions to shine * Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion - with initiatives like Women at Bridge, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every person feels respected for who they are, empowered to contribute, inspired to lead, and supported in their efforts to do so We will not accept unsolicited resumes from agencies.
