Provide support as needed for the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Business, UMass Global MyPath and campuses. The Senior Analyst position defines and manages data analysis projects including methodology, data sets, output and reports. This position also oversees the execution of the established bi-annual product marketing process and timeline as well as developing marketing strategies and managing campaigns to meet target goals. TYPE OF SUPERVISION: Receive general supervision from the Director, Product Marketing and Brand Strategy. General Supervision - indicates that the incumbent develops procedures for performance of variety of duties; or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Percentage Strategic Planning: * Define and manage data analysis projects including methodology, data sets, output and reports to meet specific business needs * Oversee the execution of the established bi-annual product marketing process and timeline * Contribute to and manage the product marketing strategy development from beginning to end, including major milestones. * Lead competitive benchmarking inside and outside the category and provide innovative ideas to increase awareness and enrollments at the university, school, and program level. * Institute and respond to competitive and market trend analysis; monitor and prepare responses to competitive and market trend analysis * Develop key messaging strategies and marketing plans for assigned business units, School of Education, and School of Nursing and Health Professions that are consistent and effective across all marketing channels * Identify messaging and product attributes to drive inquiry traffic * Assess pricing strategies and formulate recommendations * Evaluate and analyze the program portfolio by school and identify areas of opportunity, including program features and key selling points * Deliver product marketing strategies to Media, Communications, Outreach, and agencies. Guide these teams' translation of the product marketing strategy into a project plan in conjunction with the Marketing Project Manager. Play an active role in facilitating projects for schools and campuses by ensuring project deliverables are delivered on-time and on-strategy. * Liaise with all relevant stakeholders across the organization to meet project deadlines/deliverables as defined in project plan * Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion * Conduct status meetings as required ensuring all marketing strategy assets align * Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans. Assist with sending, following up, and reviewing proof comments to help move projects along and resolve open issues in Workfront during the school/outreach/campus proof review stage, according to the defined proofing process. * Escalate concerns to leadership to keep assigned projects on track * Become a SBPS, SAS, SE and SN program subject matter expert, be able to report out campaign results, challenges and opportunities in growing campus student population for all degree programs * Contribute to new program research in collaboration with Institutional Research * Lead cross-functional teams to implement product marketing plans, including networking with key contacts outside of own area of expertise * Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may recommend and/or coordinate activities of other personnel * Assessment: * Proactive in providing insights to internal marketing partners to drive program enrollments * Analyze marketing strategy ROI to make recommendations based on key lessons learned from marketing strategies * Analyze primary and secondary research, and product sales data to garner insights that shape each/assigned UMass Global school's program, marketing, and strategic initiatives. * Assist in other initiatives as needed by department and organization 90% Provide brand planning and brand tracker report support as follows: * Assist in the development of a brand dashboard and support brand tracker reporting using the following tools: * Tableau * Social Listening * Google Surveys * Website Traffic * MPR - inquiry and enrollment data * Assist in the development of brand positioning and strategies as requested 5% * Perform other duties, as assigned 5% TOTAL 100% POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES: * Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent work experience. An MBA is preferred * 4-7 years of professional marketing experience preferably in product marketing, market research, messaging, positioning, branding, creative development, and marketing strategy execution * Experience in higher education or education technology * Prior experience in a project management system (WorkFront, WorkZone, BaseCamp, etc.) * Prior experience with JobsEQ or Burning Glass ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Familiarity with and ability to analyze market research, product, brand tracking, and sales data * Excellent meeting planning, management skills, and presentation skills * Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously * Must be collaborative * Ability to project management across multiple stakeholders * Team player, able to shift gears and help a team member due to shifting priorities * Strong relationship building skills, good listener, collaborator and influencer * Thrives in taking initiative and comfortable leading projects * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and manage multiple deadlines.
