Position Summary: Bio-Techne is seeking an experienced and creative Image Analysis Scientist to join a highly dynamic R&D team. In this position, you will evaluate and develop advanced image processing and analysis algorithms and software in the field of digital pathology to automate the quantitative analysis of bright-field and fluorescent microscopic images generated by RNAscope in situ hybridization technologies. Key Responsibilities: * Identify and explore solutions to critical bottlenecks in RNAscope image analysis * Evaluate and apply state-of-the-art image analysis algorithms * Develop and implement image processing pipelines to provide end-to-end solutions for RNAscope customers * Perform advanced image analysis for internal and external customers * Initiate and manage internal and external collaborations * Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience: * Ph.D/M.S. with 2+ years of relevant experience in biomedical engineering, digital pathology, computer science or related field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * MATLAB and Python programming expertise * Experience in microscopic image processing and analysis (segmentation, object identification and quantification, feature extraction, etc.) * Strong background in machine learning and deep learning, preferably in the digital pathology field * Ability to work independently on complex projects and determine priorities for self and others * Self-motivation and good communication skills Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * C/C++, R, and Java programming experience * Experience in software development and image analysis pipeline development * Advanced image processing skills such as image denoising and deconvolution * Working knowledge of multiresolution image processing and data management (preferably in the digital pathology domain) * Knowledge of bright-field and multispectral fluorescence microscopy Education and Experience: * Ph.D/M.S. with 2+ years of relevant experience in biomedical engineering, digital pathology, computer science or related field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * MATLAB and Python programming expertise * Experience in microscopic image processing and analysis (segmentation, object identification and quantification, feature extraction, etc.) * Strong background in machine learning and deep learning, preferably in the digital pathology field * Ability to work independently on complex projects and determine priorities for self and others * Self-motivation and good communication skills Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * C/C++, R, and Java programming experience * Experience in software development and image analysis pipeline development * Advanced image processing skills such as image denoising and deconvolution * Working knowledge of multiresolution image processing and data management (preferably in the digital pathology domain) * Knowledge of bright-field and multispectral fluorescence microscopy
