Position Information Job Title: Sr Internal Auditor Department: Internal Audit FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Audit Manager or Audit Director Full/Part Time Status: Full-Time Work Location: Nationwide Travel Requirement: 0-10% Education & Experience Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Minimum Years of Experience: 5 + years related work experience Combination of Experience and Education can meet the job requirements: No Language Requirement English: Written: Advanced Verbal: Fluent Korean: Written: N/A Verbal: N/A Computer/Systems Knowledge Requirements Microsoft Outlook: Advanced Microsoft Word: Advanced Microsoft Excel: Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint: Advanced Responsibilities & Duties * Assists the Audit Manager in the development of Audit Planning Document, Planning Tollgate, and Risk Control Matrix during the planning phase of the audit process * Performs and documents walkthroughs of the major functions/sub-processes within the area being audited to understand the type of activities being performed, key and secondary controls, and other key management controls * Performs control design assessment and control effectiveness testing according to the Risk Control Matrix * Documents test approach and results in a sufficient manner for a reasonably prudent individual to completely understand the work performed and conclusions reached strictly from the work papers * Communicates with the Audit Manager and the auditee throughout fieldwork any potential control weakness, policy violations, other issues * Completes Exception Log and drafts audit issues to be reviewed and approved by the Audit Manager prior to the conclusion of the fieldwork * Assists the Audit Manager in the development of Fieldwork Tollgate and/or Draft Audit Report for approval of the Chief Audit Executive or designee * Stays current and informed of federal and state banking laws and regulations application to the various functions, activities, products, and services * Maintains and improves technical and professional knowledge through continuing education as outlined in the individual's Training and Development Plan * May be called upon to support other audits Job Qualifications/Requirements * Ability to navigate through the organization * Strong understanding of a risk-based internal audit approach * Extensive knowledge of banking laws and regulations * Experienced in the audit of banking operations, especially in areas of credit and retail operations * Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills * Strong problem solving, decision making, and time management skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related area such as business management, accounting, finance, economics; with a graduate degree a plus * Required: At least one professional, audit-related designation (e.g., CIA, CISA, CPA, CAMS, CRCM) * Required: Strong understanding of a risk-based internal audit approach * Required: Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques * Required: Experience in banking operations audit specifically in the lending area, and/or retail banking area * Required: Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills * Required: Strong problem solving, decision making, and time management skills * Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills * Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office products * Required: Experience with auditing software preferred * Preferred: Fluent in verbal and written Korean a plus * Some travel will be required Physical Demands Lifting/Carrying Under 10 lbs: Occasionally (1% - 33% of the time) 11-20 lbs: Occasionally (1% - 33% of the time) Pushing/Pulling Under 10 lbs: Occasionally (1% - 33% of the time) 11-20 lbs: Occasionally (1% - 33% of the time) Twisting/Turning Reach over shoulder: Frequent (34% - 66% of the time) Reach over head: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Reach outward: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Climb: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Crawl: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Kneel: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Squat: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Sit: Constant (Over 66% of the time) Walk-Normal Surfaces: Frequent (34% - 66% of the time) Walk-Uneven Surfaces: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Walk-Slippery Surfaces: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Stand: Frequent (34% - 66% of the time) Bend: Occasionally (1% - 33% of the time) Other Keyboard/Ten Key: Constant (Over 66% of the time) Fingering (fine dexterity): Frequent (34% - 66% of the time) Handling (grasping, holding): Frequent (34% - 66% of the time) Repetitive Motion - Hands: Constant (Over 66% of the time) Repetitive Motion - Feet: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week)
