ArsenalBio is seeking a scientist with discovery experience to lead oncology target discovery as a part of our efforts to develop and commercialize curative immune cell therapies. This candidate will be primarily responsible for identification, prioritization, and early validation of tagertable moieties using RNA and protein-based approaches. What You Will Do: Lead efforts to identify target antigens for oncology CAR T applicationsIdentify in silico resources for target elucidation and de-risking Develop RNA- and protein-based platforms to validate lead target expression profiles Identify and develop reagents to enable target validationCoordinate cell line engineering activities to confirm cell surface expression and enable screening platform developmentMaintain familiarity with the relevant current literature and its application to binder discovery, screening methodologies, synthetic biology and cell therapyCoordinate tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization and planningInterpret and effectively execute experiments in line with project timelines and goalsRecruit and mentor junior scientists and research associates with relevant expertise What You Will Do: PhD in cancer, molecular or cellular biology or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant research experience in industry or academiaExperience with RNA and/or protein-based cell surface target discovery and validation approachesExperience with mass-spectroscopy based discovery and validation approachesExperience with protein-based abundance assessments including ELISA, flow cytometry, luminex, MSD, IHC, and western blottingExperience supervising junior research technicians and scientistsEntrepreneurial behaviors demonstrated by agility, accountability, transparency, resourcefulness, and ability to get things doneDemonstrated ability to perform as a team player We are committed to hiring the best talent from diverse backgrounds.
