As ADI expands into new product and market segments, the Power Products Group (PPG) is looking for an Applications Engineer who will be responsible for: Developing design tools of power products Creating power system behavior modeling and simulation analysis Generating power reference designs with optimized product selections Interfacing with IC Designers, Application Engineers, Marketing and Sales, and Management. Maintain good and professional communications dialog with both internal and external customers
As an Applications Engineer , you will: Working on application circuits of switching power converters Involved in developing design tools of power products Using LTspice (or other tools) to develop power system simulation models Involved in web tools development for sales enablement Supporting existing models for field applications engineers and customers Technical writing, presentations and trainings
What you need to be successful in this role: BSEE or MSEE with experience of switching power supply (DC/DC converter) knowledge Strong background of analog/digital circuit, power electronics and control architecture Fluency in power circuit designs including power devices selection, schematic/PCB, prototype bench debugs and performance evaluations Familiar with power system behavior model simulation (LTspice, SIMPLIS, MATLAB/Simulink…) Power IC applications experience and certain software programming skill (Python, C/C++, LabVIEW…) as the plus Good technical writing and presentation skills Must possess good communication skills and have ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work independently and important to be a self-starter.
